Project Lead- Aero Engine (Mechanical)

Job Description

• Secure OEM approval for the scope and requirements of new supplier qualification.
• Work with new suppliers to develop qualification plans, schedules, and obtain internal OEM program endorsement.
• Assist in documenting all technical design details in the designated repository.
• Collaborate to author Design Change document   
• Collaborate to review and issue new component drawings corresponding to new supplier design information
• Lead following Project Engineering activities:

• Review Supplier’s Quality Management System (QMS) process
• Verify Supplier’s process for monitoring and measuring Resources
• Assess Supplier’s- Operation, Performance Evaluation, Improvement Process, Problem Solving Methods for Customer Escapes, Production part approval process, Supply chain risk management
• Lead, Participate and collaborate with stakeholders for the successful completion of
  • Internal GE technical reviews
  • Design consensus Review
  • Program kick-off review
  • Mechanical Systems technical review
  • Detailed Design Review
  • Systems Technical Review
  • Tooling Detailed Design Review
  • Program finalization review
• Support in Qualification Test plan. Review and support in Qualification Test Procedures (QTP), Qualification Test Reports (QTR)
• Technical documentation supporting all the above reviews and qualification plans

• Leads engineering change execution process until change incorporation.
  • Assist in preparing necessary documentation for reviews such as Design Kickoff Consensus Review, Preliminary Design Review, Analysis Model Technical Review, Detailed Design Review, Systems Technical Review, Program Review, and documentation detailing CCL (Commerce Control List) impact.
  • Collaborrate to finalize applicable criteria documents required for Engineering change substantiation
  • Assist in completing all other necessary documents and worksheets to validate the engineering change.
