About Our Team

Cross River’s team is made up of problem solvers hungry to build and perfect new products and systems. We work with team members in most US time zones. Although we are in separate places, we still make space to know one another and have fun! We collaborate, help and mentor each other, and check in on our progress and blocks frequently. We work together primarily with Slack, GitHub, JIRA, and Zoom.

 

What We’re Looking for

 

  • The Data Governance Engineer is a critical role for Cross River and will report to the Data Governance Head. Under the direction of the Data Governance Head, the Data Governance Engineer will implement enterprise tools for data governance with metadata management, data lineage, data dictionary, and other critical capabilities. The Data Governance Engineer will also work with business and technology to assure tool adoption and provide ongoing support.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

 

  • Implement enterprise tools for data governance to manage data dictionary, metadata, and lineage.
  • Create procedures and user guides to support effective adoption of the tool(s).
  • Assist users in performing data discovery using the tool(s).
  • Assist users in building data quality rules using the tool.
  • Configure data governance tool capabilities, including data lineage, data domains, and data taxonomies.
  • Create a highly structured and comprehensive control environment to assure that content within the tool meets quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with the data and technology teams to assure successful integration of the tools and the Bank's technology infrastructure.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for users across the organization.
  • Provide ongoing SME support to assure full adoption of the tools.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience deploying and supporting one or more data governance tools. Financial services experience is preferred
  • Working knowledge of data governance concepts (metadata, data lineage, etc.) and effective communication skills
  • Strong Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to inform, interpret, assess, and deliver thorough analysis in both written and verbal form
  • Demonstrated skill in documenting requirements, producing technical specifications, and creating user documentation.
  • Knowledge of risk data architecture and technology solutions
  • Internally and externally recognized subject matter expert who influences the way things are done
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, MIS, or Management

Salary Range: $130,000.00-$170,000.00
