We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer who is passionate about building a world-class security framework for services provided to Credit Sesame users. Reporting to the VP, Engineering, the Senior Network Engineer will handle all of Credit Sesame’s internal technical support services, maintain the company’s office IT infrastructure, and manage the day-to-day internal IT operations. In addition, this role will support our Security Team and provide assistance with Infrastructure Security and Network Security.

This role ensures that the IT team delivers quality customer service to the business, provides leadership for our internal IT support team and manages our internal IT business function.

You’ll…

  • setup and update IDS & IPS and monitor them
  • update network, datadome and firewall policies
  • setup monitoring and automated alerting rules
  • monitor dashboards, review fired alerts and fine-tuned thresholds
  • manage certificate updates and key rotations
  • monitor and report on DLP and FIM activities
  • run in-house vulnerability scanners (protocols, ports, endpoints)
  • POC on engineering side of security (e.g. WebApp Firewall, Cloud security)
  • monitor employee access levels and activities

    • You’re a great fit for our team because…

  • you are experienced with Ubuntu Linux and network administration in a CLI environment;
  • you are familiar with networking devices commonly found in rapidly scaling environments (e.g., Cisco or Juniper routers, switches, firewalls, Palo Alto Networks VPNs);
  • you are familiar with VMware, LDAP/Active Directory, Apache, Nginx, BIND, Git; you can install and manage Zabbix and ELK monitoring tools;
  • you have 5+ years of experience in security management;
  • 3+ years’ experience with AWS core (VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, RDS) experience with Infrastructure-as-Code like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar;
  • you’re comfortable using networking gear (Firewall, switches, etc.) and wireless networks (Ubiquiti is a plus);
  • you’re comfortable managing office on-premise networks, wifi connectivity, and secure networking configurations;
  • you have knowledge of Internet systems and processes, such as DNS, SSL certificates, etc.;
  • you’re familiar with network security especially as related to system hardening and vulnerability research and management;
  • you have knowledge of patch evaluation, security monitoring solutions, and PKI;
  • you have both a passion for technical knowledge and eagerness to share your insights with the team;
  • you have a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience, CISSP certification considered a plus;
  • Bonus Points: experience with container orchestration frameworks (IE: ECS, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes)
