Principal Security Software Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Principal Security Software Developer to foster a security-first culture across engineering. This is an outsized opportunity to have a huge impact through analyzing processes, tools and code to identify and resolve security issues in all levels of the architecture and all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities
- Be the leader in defining, implementing and educating others on advanced software security tools and techniques
- Perform on-going code review to improve software security in the code base
- Provide engineering designs for new software solutions to mitigate security vulnerabilities at all levels of the architecture
- Maintain technical documentation related to secure engineeringing practices
- Prioritize new product development, guiding teams to appropriate security architectures
- Innovate in the area of software security

Requirements
- Proven work experience as a software security leader building collaborative relationships with stakeholders across many functions
- Detailed technical knowledge of techniques, standards and state-of-the art capabilities for authentication and authorization, applied cryptography, security vulnerabilities and remediation
- 5+ years building secure software in one or more industry standard languages (C++, Python, etc.)
- 2+ years executing secure coding practices in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc)
- Experience shipping products to customers and understanding the trade-offs between performance and security.
- Interest in all aspects of security research and development
- BS degree in Computer Science or related field

Notice of Pay Transparency:
The compensation for this position ranges from $199,000 - $244,000/year and may vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.  Depending on the nature and seniority of the role, a percentage of compensation may come in the form of a commission-based or discretionary bonus.  Equity and additional benefits will also be awarded.
