Salesforce QA Engineer

How you’ll make an impact:

Salesforce is a critical application for business processes at Copado. As the organization is scaling, so are the business processes and automation that our users rely on. We need your help in making sure that we are able to grow with new efficient processes built by our Salesforce team. You will be responsible for the creation of test scenarios and execution of test scripts related to new features and functionality created by our internal Salesforce DevOps team. You’ll report to our QA Manager and be part of an expanding team of Salesforce professionals.

What you’ll do:

• Testing of new functionality developed in our internal Salesforce environment
• Participating in test planning, test case creation and hands-on testing as needed
• Managing testing activities across various teams spread in multiple geo-locations (India, EMEA, US)
• Providing specific technical feedback on identified bugs and defects that translates into actionable changes for our development team
• Ensuring testing is performed on time, in good quality and reported in a clear fashion
• Writing SOQL database queries and small Apex code snippets
• Using SFDC Workbench/Inspector to explore data models and run SOQL queries

What experience you’ll bring with you:

• Strong knowledge in the Salesforce domain and should be able to perform Salesforce Configuration and Customization
• 2-4 years of experience in Automation Testing and Automation Framework Development
• Hands-on experience with Robot Framework (preferably), Selenium with Java, REST API Automation, and CLI Automation (preferred)
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Python, Java, etc. (preferred)
• Hands-on experience in scripting, execution, creating test execution reports, and should be able to make minor modifications to framework as required
• Good knowledge of working with Version Control Tools such as GitHub, GitLab, etc.
• Must have good debugging skills, troubleshooting skills, familiarity with the Salesforce deployment process, and awareness and understanding of Salesforce DevOps process
• Good understanding of the test automation framework (Preferably Robot Framework) used in previous projects
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams and have a working knowledge of Kanban/Scrum methodology

Helpful qualifications:

• Have good understanding of SDLC and STLC
• Identify appropriate test cases for automation and write test automation scripts in existing frameworks
• Create test scripts automation and test data based on test scope defined
• Preferred certifications — ISTQB, Salesforce Administrator, or ability to obtain this certification during the first year of employment
