Joining Collibra’s DevOps Engineering team
- As a DevOps Engineer you will deploy, update, manage and maintain customer-facing SaaS production applications in a multi-cloud environment - AWS, GCP, & GovCloud
- Write Python OOP for deployment tooling, wrapping business logic and rules around Ansible and Terraform deployments
- Design and implement new Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions
- Automate cloud provisioning, cost management, and disaster recovery using tools or languages like Terraform, Ansible, Python and GO
- Work with CI/CD pipelines and write Python and Go unit tests
- Build Docker images and work within container environments
- Monitor and troubleshoot customer instances built on Java, CentOS, RHEL, ElasticSearch, PostgreSQL, and other open-source technologies
- Manage a large fleet of Linux instances as well as Kubernetes clusters across multiple cloud providers (AWS, EKS, GCP, GKE)
- Work closely with the Customer Support Team to streamline processes and help customers with their requests as quickly as possible. Identify opportunities to create self-service solutions
DevOps Engineers at Collibra are responsible for:
- Ensuring service uptime by developing automation for incident response, provisioning, and retirement of systems
- Writing and modifying Infrastructure-as-Code to comply with FedRAMP, SOC2, and other accreditation frameworks as needed
- Working with other teams across the organization including Security, Development, QA, and SRE teams to balance requirements and meet common goals
- Monitoring automated software rollouts and responding to any issues that may arise
You Have:
- 2+ Years of Python Object Oriented Programming experience, the “Pythonic way”. Golang is a plus
- 3+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, in one or more of AWS GovCloud or GCP. GovCloud experience with either of these cloud providers is a must-have requirement
- Experience with Infrastructure As Code tools, configuration management like Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools
- Experience with Docker (Kubernetes a plus)
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Information Technologies
- Because this role supports the U.S. Government, it is required that this candidate be a U.S. Citizen who resides on U.S. soil

- Within your first month, you will absorb fundamental knowledge about Collibra processes/tools and start building team & cross-functional relationships
- Within your third month, you will take ownership of escalations, collaborate on and achieve quarterly OKRs (Objectives & Key Results)
- Within your sixth month, you will drive developing tools and approaches to reduce toil, improve efficiency, and improve customer satisfaction
Compensation for this role
The standard base salary range for this position is $108,000 - $149,000 per year. This position is not eligible for additional commission-based compensation. Salary offers are based on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, and location.
In addition to base salary, we offer equity ownership at every level, bonus potential, a Flex Fund monthly stipend, pension/401k plans, and more.
