UX-UI Design System Summer Intern 2024

Key role and responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with seasoned designers to understand the nuances of industrial data and user requirements.
• Contribute to creating and enhancing a robust design system that ensures consistency and efficiency across our industrial data platform.
• Work on developing UI components, patterns, and design guidelines that align with industry standards and best practices.
• Work closely with the engineers to ensure our design system is built according to the specifications.
• Engage in design critiques, workshops, and brainstorming sessions to elevate the overall user experience of our design system.

What we hope you bring to the table

• Currently pursuing (or recently finished) a degree in UX-UI Design or a related field.
• An understanding of fundamental design principles.
• Comfortable in Figma. Understanding the Figma component creation process is a plus!
• General understanding of component best practices, including design, behavior, and interactions. 
• A portfolio (or examples of your work) featuring projects and your design process as well as the ability to communicate your designs effectively.
• A strong curiosity - Design Systems are still fairly new to the UX field. Get the chance to dive deep into how to build scalable and usable components. Learn how design systems function beyond the designer experience and how to evangelize others to contribute and adopt the system. 
• A love for games and team social shenanigans - Every Friday our team loves to wrap up our weekly demos with a couple rounds of Gartic or Skribble. New game suggestions are always welcome! We also enjoy a monthly team social where we get to do all sorts of things like painting classes, climbing, bowling, karaoke, and much more!
