Codexis, a biotechnology company based in Redwood City, CA, is looking to hire a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer.

 
Codexis is a leading enzyme engineering company leveraging its proprietary CodeEvolver® technology platform to discover, develop and enhance novel, high-performance enzymes and other classes of proteins. Codexis enzymes solve for real-world challenges associated with small molecule pharmaceuticals manufacturing and nucleic acid synthesis. The Company is currently developing its proprietary ECO Synthesis™ platform to enable the scaled manufacture of RNAi therapeutics through an enzymatic route. About the Opportunity:
 
The Full-Stack Software Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and providing support to an Oracle based Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The candidate will work closely with the development team and end users (both external and internal) to obtain specifications around each development project and communicate its progress.  The candidate will be expected to ensure that the software development life cycle and security policies are being followed.  The position is within the computational biology department based in Redwood City, Ca.  This is a hybrid role which will require the candidate to be on-site for at least 3 days a week.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and Oracle database
  • Develop a LIMS user interface using React
  • Build REST APIs
  • Use of Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence to record software progress and documentation
  • Obtain specification for software request from end users and communicate to the development team
  • Use of git Java build and integration environments
  • Develop in Java, Python, SQL, bash, and JavaScript
