Summary:

We are currently looking for a Financial Data Analyst to join our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. This position reports to the Manager, Revenue FP&A.

This role is available to candidates in Calgary, Vancouver, or Toronto.

We are looking for a driven and curious Financial Data Analyst who takes numbers seriously, thrives in a rapid-growth, high-velocity environment, and someone who lives and breathes our values.

As a Data Analyst,  you will be diving deep into numbers and uncovering insights that contribute to informed decision-making processes. This role will be primarily supporting the FP&A team with operational and financial reporting and analysis, data reconciliation and validation, and strategic decision support as required. 

What you’ll work on:

  • Gather data from various sources to support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts, and provide key analytics, analyses, and summaries as required.

  • Deeply analyze data to identify opportunities for revenue optimization and growth.

  • Provide insights and decision-making support for business partners and the FP&A team. 

  • Develop and update financial models with actuals, conduct variance analysis, and find and communicate insights.

  • Monitor KPIs, identify trends and proactively work with operational leaders on opportunities to grow the business.

  • Ensure we have strong data cleanliness and source of truth reporting.

  • Work closely with Accounting to ensure all financial information is accurate.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (finance, accounting); 

  • Have 1+ years of Financial Planning, Accounting or Business Analyst experience;

  • Be passionate about effective and intuitive data visualization;

  • Be deeply data-driven, analytical, and curious;

  • Be self-motivated, independent, and deadline-oriented;

  • Be passionate about building data-driven organizations and having an impact on the business.

  • Clear, concise, articulate, professional verbal and written reasoning and storytelling skills to communicate effectively to audiences at all levels of the organization.

The expected salary range* for this role is $60,100 to $81,300 CAD. Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.

*Our salary bands are designed to reflect the range of skills and experience needed for the position and to allow room for growth at Clio. For experienced individuals, we typically hire at or around the midpoint of the band. The top portion of the salary band is reserved for employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. Those who are new to the role may join below the midpoint and develop their skills over time. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
