This role will be based in Singapore, working fully remotely as we don't have a local office yet. Please note that we currently don't have the ability to sponsor work permits or visas in Singapore at this current time. 

What you will be doing:

  • Deliver excellent customer service as a front-line engineer and representative of ClickHouse
  • Provide professional response and guidance within the required Service Level Agreement ("SLA") on technical cases that are opened via a ticketing system, email, Slack, chat, consultative support / expert sessions, and/or phone
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with colleagues, customers, and partners
  • Be present and available according to the scheduling and on-call required to deliver high-quality 24x7 Support in a global, distributed environment
  • Work cross-functionally- We are a young company; you are expected to be versatile, working with the sales team, with customers and prospects. Working with the training team to help animate webinars and workshops, improving our documentation.

What you bring along:

  • Business level fluency in Mandarin and English, ability to effectively work with customers in these two languages
  • Proven experience and excellence within a technical support or customer service organization
  • Technical breadth and depth in subjects such as ClickHouse DBMS or similar, OLAP, Cloud/SaaS platforms, distributed systems software engineering, Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, System or Network Administration, and/or big data and analytics platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a mindset of teamwork, global engagement, empathy, and solving challenging problems
  • Previous experience with ticketing systems and addressing concerns in the queue
  • Self-driven, curious, and eager to continuously learn and grow

  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with software developers, product managers, teachers, consultants, account representatives, and the ClickHouse Community to deliver an amazing user and customer experience
  • A sense of adventure and urgency in building the most scalable, high-performing, largest, and fastest databases on the planet
  • Passion for applying open-source software technology to massive data sets to solve complex questions and improve the world in which we live
