Sr. Frontend Engineer

You will work on a React web app and engage closely with the greater Product and Engineering team to deeply understand our technical products and ensure they are being built with the highest quality.  

What will you do?

• Work closely with Product to spec out the technical aspects of a feature from inception through delivery
• Own front end feature development, ensuring tracking/analytics are instrumented and your work meets the agreed upon acceptance criteria
• Continuously improve an existing React codebase
• Write acceptance, integration and unit tests
• Lead production monitoring and resolution impacts
• Influence work of multiple teams relating to overall engineering group objectives  
• Provide technical guidance to other team members
• Drive continuous process and technology improvements
• Partner with Product to spec out the technical aspects of a feature from inception through delivery
• Be involved and conduct architecture discussions when necessary
• Collaborate with other leads and engineers on various architecture discussions
• Participate in recruiting of candidates and improvement of the overall interview process

What do you need?

• Strong knowledge of ReactJS, JavaScript and Typescript
• Experience testing ReactJS testing (Jest/react-testing-library)
• Experience with Redux/React Router/React Context API/Hooks
• Strong knowledge of front end technologies including HTML/CSS
• Experience working with API service-based architectures and RESTful APIs
• Experience writing tests at various layers for solutions developed through ReactJS, Typescript and backend technologies
• Experience developing responsive web applications
• Experience making large scale technical decisions, setting directions and practices for frontend development
• Experience leading and mentoring team members on frontend solutions 

Nice to haves:

• Experience working remotely
• Experience investigating data bugs throughout the stack
• Experience with fullstack development leveraging backend services developed using Ruby/Ruby on Rails, Kotlin technologies
