We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our A&G Artificial Intelligence Team in Bangalore. The AGAI team is building a new Academic AI Platform to enable rapid development of AI functionalities across our products. We are in need of an engineer to join our team to help build out a user interface sitting over top of our new APIs. This UI will enable users to easily administer their access, content collections, as well as view documentation and interact with the underlying APIs. The AGAI team is a global team consisting of software engineers, operations engineers, and data scientists. Front-end development is an area we need some assistance, so this is where we need you to step in at first, but there will be full stack opportunities.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
1+ years as Software Engineer or similar role
Experience with the Angular web application framework
Experience with TypeScript
Experience with a front-end framework like Bootstrap or TailwindCSS
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related field, or 4 years relevant experience
It would be great if you also had . . .
Experience with Python
Experience developing REST APIs
Experience with current AI/ML methodologies
What will you be doing in this role?
Developing a user interface to sit over top of the Academic AI Platform APIs
Assisting development teams throughout A&G to build AI prototypes
Interacting with current AI technologies, such as Large Language Models
About the Team
The AGAI team is roughly 20 members. We are very diverse, as we have members in six countries, spanning the globe from China to the United States. We all primarily work the standard hours for our country, but there are times when having some flexibility is appreciated. We currently have two team members in India, with one of those being in Bangalore. This position will be our second in the Bangalore office.
We are privileged to get to work on the most cutting-edge technologies of the current day and contribute to the most high-profile developments within A&G. These include projects such as the WoS Research Assistant, the ProQuest One Literature Research Assistant, and the AI Metadata Generator.
Hours of Work
This is a full-time role working standard hours for India. However, given the global nature of our team, there is value in having some flexibility.
