Data Analyst

We are looking for a Belgrade-based Data Analyst to join the Institute for Scientific Information™. This is an amazing opportunity to work on a wide variety of research projects (e.g., Highly Cited Researchers™ program) and help to develop new methodologies for assessing the societal and economic impact of academic research. The wider team consists of 8 people. We would love to speak with you if you have experience with data analysis using Python and Excel.

About you

• 3+ years of experience working as a Data Analyst
• 1+ year of experience using Python and Excel
• Excellent knowledge of English (B2/C1)

It would be great if you also had

• Excellent knowledge of SQL
• Strong communication & analytical skills
• Experience with the Python data analysis ecosystem, e.g., Pandas, Polars, NumPy, skipy, matplotlib
• Understanding of academic literature would be useful to provide experience of the research domain. This could come from experience writing articles or proposals, or through the use of Web of Science™, Scopus or Google Scholar.
• Bachelor's degree in an analytical/numerical subject (including, but not limited to, mathematics, physics, statistics, computer science, engineering disciplines, data science)

What will you be doing in this role?

• Extracting and preparing data for analysis
• Carrying out various machine learning, network, statistical or other analyses for reports and other projects
• Creating data visualizations & preparing data for various university rankings
• Supporting Lead Data Scientists in various projects

About the Team

You will be part of the Institute for Scientific Information within the Academic & Government business unit in Clarivate.  The Institute for Scientific Information is a think tank within Clarivate focused on driving innovation in the field of bibliometrics through research projects and which supports Clarivate products such as the Web of Science, the data used by our products, and analytics derived from them. 

As part of the team, you will have the opportunity to work in collaboration with the rest of ISI on various projects.

Hours of Work

This is a full-time position.  It is expected that hours will be normal business hours. This is a hybrid position working in the office 3 days every other week.  #LI-Hybrid
