Job Description:

Citi’s Operations & Technology is looking for NPower Trainees to join our Internship/Apprenticeship Program. Our program will equip you with the knowledge and training you need to play a valuable role on your team and establish a long-term career here. Operations and Technology (O&T) plays a central role in driving value for Citi and its clients. Some of O&T Functions include:

Citi Technology Infrastructure provides a critical technical foundation for the firm’s operations through the infrastructure that runs business and general user computing services.

Global Functions Technology provides application development and support for systems used by global functions, such as Finance, Risk, Compliance and Human Resources

Chief Operating Office develops, implements and manages business strategies and functions for Operations and Technology (O&T).

Chief Information Security Office is responsible for analyzing cyber threat information designed to increase Citi's cyber threat awareness and protection levels.

Our Citi Technology team builds, owns and supports many front-end, middle-tier and back-office applications that are used on Citi trading floors around the world.

Numerous applications handle millions of transactions per day and have billions of dollars in trade-flow. Many teams operate on a "follow-the-sun" model and are required to have their applications running 24/7.

The 6-month internship is designed to bring your NPower training into Citi. NPower internships will be assigned to work within a team. Through ongoing professional and technical training and networking and mentoring opportunities, NPower Interns build the necessary professional and leadership skills for future success.  Role assignments change each cycle based on the business needs of each O&T group.  Below are some examples of assignments:

Creating dashboards and scorecards to summarize data

Data Protection analysis

Product & Project Management

Private & Hybrid Cloud Design

Converting raw data into intelligence

Performing web and mobile application testing and scans

Identifying defects in online tools

Software Development (wide variety)

Review, Testing, Certification using Automation tools

Create an overview of business processes and assess opportunities

Automating analytical processes

Analytics projects

API Development & Integration

IT Support / Help Desk Support

Cyber Security data analysis

Qualifications:                                           

• Current NPower Trainee able to work on site at Citi in Irving, TX 2-3 days per week

• You have an interest working in a high tech global technology environment and have a fundamental understanding of technologies, including by not limited to programing languages, application development, IT Support, or basic concepts of relational databases.

• Commitment to personal growth and career development, a strong desire to learn, and success in team environments

• Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills

• Desire to develop a deep understanding of the financial industry

• Unquestioned commitment to integrity ethical decision-making

• You are a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident or possess other unrestricted U.S. work authorization and will not require sponsorship for U.S. work authorization now or anytime in the future.
