Apps Dev Sr. Programmer Anlyst - C12 - PUNE

The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

• Build applications, backend services, and APIs. Drive existing and new feature development
• Work with business analysts and product owners to define, capture, and implement services/product features.
• Work closely with multiple stakeholders globally and locally - Customer's business, Engineering, Architecture, and Operations Teams
• Work with cross-location teams to build functional and high-performance products using agile processes.
• Partner with other teams to innovate, build prototypes, and lead new initiatives.

Requirements:

• Overall, 9-12 years of relevant experience in Java technologies.

• Must have technical skills:
  • Strong fundamentals of OOPS Concepts, Data Structures, and Algorithms
  • Ability to write "Clean code" using Core Java, JEE, Collections, Multithreading
  • Experience with Spring Framework - Spring Boot, Microservices at the minimum; plus experience with additional tools/frameworks/components from the Spring tech stack is highly desirable.
  • Strong experience with API and Web Services development using REST/SOAP protocols
  • Good working knowledge of source code control tools and technologies is a must.
  • Fundamental database concepts and experience with a relational database (MSSQL, Oracle) or NoSQL platforms. Ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries is desirable.
  • Must have a good understanding of Unit testing, test coverage
  • Ability and willingness to work across multiple tools, frameworks, and technology stacks.
  • Fundamental understanding of and experience with cloud platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes
  • Usage of Swagger/Open API specification to define, document, implement and test APIs
  • Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery technologies and tools. Experience with Jenkins would be helpful.
  • A good understanding of Standard, Enterprise Design Patterns, and SOLID principles is required.
  • Should know about CI/CD pipeline
  • Should have good understanding of Containers, docker deployment

Technical / Functional Proficiency (JAVA):

• Experience in Core Java (1.6 or higher) and JavaScript
• Spring, spring boot, Hibernate.
• Experience in REST web service development.
• Experience in SQL and understanding of basic principles of data modelling.
• Experience in performance tuning of the application.
• Experience in Banking and Financial Domain
• Experience in Agile frameworks/ projects
• Understanding/Knowledge of JIRA
• Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and communication skills.
• Experience with unit testing and performance testing frameworks like Junit and JProfiler
