Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a ServiceNow Architect to join our Technology Team. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to be a part of our Internal Tools Product Team. As the ServiceNow Architect, you will be responsible for the maintaining the ServiceNow application(s).

What You'll Do:

  • Engage as the primary subject matter expert, ServiceNow architect, and overall team tech lead and set technical direction, leading the development team to implement solutions including both configuring ServiceNow, developing customizations and integrations.
  • Lead and deliver requirements, scoping and design workshops, ensuring requirements are well documented and proposed solution is scalable
  • Responsible for technical deliverables related to ServiceNow configurations and integration development between ServiceNow and other team supported systems
  • Work directly with team members and stakeholders to resolve issues and defect
  • Monitor health, usage, and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications
  • Supports implementation programs for complex enterprise scale solutions.
  • Coordinates with QA resources to ensure test cases are properly written / executed from a technical perspective.
  • Provides detailed technical design/ documentation details in user stories which are complete, easy for developers to understand, and ready for development.
  • Experience with providing technical leadership, training, and performing peer code reviews, ensuring the development team follows best practices
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute in a fast pace agile environment
  • Demonstrates the desire and ability to learn and utilize new technologies
  • Provide hands-on development, when necessary.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 8+ years’ experience supporting the implementation, administration, configuration, and/or development of an ITSM tool
  • 6+ years’ experience in ServiceNow development – experience should include scripting, tool configuration, design work, technical configuration, and deployment; specifically, candidates shall possess the skill to develop on the ServiceNow platform including the creation and/or customization of the core applications
  • 5+ years with working or developing in any one of the following programming languages: JavaScript, PHP, C, Java, HTML or HTML 5
  • Expert level understanding and implementation experience with at least 3 of the following ServiceNow application suites: ITOM, ITAM, ITSM, HRSM, GRC/IRM and/or SecOps
  • Expert level understanding of ServiceNow core application UI and workflow configuration, report development, integration components (e.g., LDAP, SSO, etc.)
  • Experience with web technologies (XML, HTML, Angular JS, Restful API, PowerShell etc.) and developing with JavaScript on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Excellent understanding of all technical aspects of the ServiceNow implementation including SNOW architecture, Application UI, Process and solution integration, Workflow design/ configuration, Reporting, and Integration components (SSO, LDAP, etc.)
  • Experience with ServiceNow custom application/portal and Information Architecture - ServiceNow Common Services Data structures are a big plus
  • Candidate must be organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, able to implement on time to a project schedule, and able to handle multiple priorities of varying complexity in a fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into scalable solution designs
  • Guides and influences across organizational boundaries to solve complex problems in adherence to best practices and requirements. Converts requirements into scalable solution designs
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to optimize and/or update best practices through technical platform governance
  • Guides team members and advises stakeholders on improvements and optimizations to features, practices, processes, and operations
  • Excellent verbal/written and presentation skills
  • Provides subject matter expertise/thought leadership in the ServiceNow platform and technical mentoring including training and guidance of junior staff and administrators
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute
  • Demonstrates the desire and ability to learn and utilize new technologies

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $124,500-$255,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.
