Senior Frontend Engineer - UI

Senior Frontend Developer (JS, Angular, TypeScript) - Munich or Remote Germany based

The Team:

Our squad is responsible for developing and maintaining the Emotion library. 

Emotion is our main web components library, representing our design system, consisting of 80+ components, layouts, and utilities, thus being the main central point of resources, for building consistent UI’s and interactions for all the products in Celonis.

The Role:

As a Senior Frontend Developer, you will be responsible for understanding and owning the guidelines and specifications of our design system. You will be implementing complex layouts and interactions, providing shared resources and reusable Angular components, thus ensuring scalable solutions for other squads.

The work you’ll do:

• You will create complex layouts and interactions, reusable Angular components, and improve our existing ones, to ensure the best usability
• Write clean, understandable, and testable code
• Develop features to enhance other developer’s working environment
• Optimize app performance and maintain the existing resources
• Contribute and extend our Styles architecture with SCSS, and core architecture with Angular
• Brings in new exciting ideas and solutions for challenges
• Ensure Accessibility by following WCAG 2.0 Guidelines
• Support & coach junior/mid-level colleagues, by sharing best practices

The qualifications you need:.

• +3 years of solid experience in Frontend Development
• Attention to detail, an eye for detail/design
• Proven experience with HTML5, CSS/SCSS, Angular 2-11, TypeScript/JavaScript
• Be familiar with data structures and algorithms
• Experience in writing and setting up tests (unit/integration tests)
• Be familiar with Design Systems and Libraries
• Experience working in an agile, cross-functional team and in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills (English is a must!).
