We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to support one of our largest Fortune 100 entertainment and media clients, joining their Cloud Production Engineering team. In this role, you will collaborate with software developers, systems engineers, and other staff members to do server configuration management and manage code releases. You will cross and merge the barriers that exist between software development, testing and operations teams and keep existing networks in mind as they design, plan and test. The roles’ primary goal is to increase automation thereby reducing or eliminating manual tasks and human interaction to deploy software and configuration changes more efficiently and with fewer errors or failures.

*Minimum Requirements*

* 4-7 years IT-Related Work Experience (e.g. system administration, software development, QA, etc.)
* 2-3 years Software Development Experience Preferably writing system administration, configuration management, or application deployment automation code. Can be “home grown” suite of automation scripts and programs written in languages such as Perl, Python, Bash, or PowerShell or code written for use with a deployment or configuration management application such as Chef or Puppet (Ruby).
* AWS SysOps Administrator-Associate OR AWS Solutions Architect-Associate Certification (or equivalent)
* Experience working in a Linux environment and has a working knowledge of basic Linux commands/utilities.
* Experience performing basic Windows server administration tasks.
* Experience with fundamental network configuration and troubleshooting in either a Windows or Linux environment.
* Experience implementing/configuring CI/CD pipelines for new applications within an established automated CI/CD system.
* Experience installing, configuring, and defining standards for a monitoring system.
* Familiarity of VMWare or vSphere or similar technologies.

*Responsibilities*

* Develop software and processes to support automated, continuous deployment of both internally developed as well as vendor-provided software written in a variety of programming language across a variety of platforms (on-premise as well as cloud) for use by not only the DevOps team but also the software development and systems engineering/operations teams.
* Develop automated means to commission/remediate servers (both cloud and on-premise) in collaboration with the software development, infrastructure, systems engineering/operations teams, and other technical partners to ensure consistency and that departmental and corporate policies and standards are being met.
* Develop training materials, conduct presentations for other members of the Build & Release team as well as members of the development and systems engineering/operations teams to ensure team members have the skills and knowledge to support the goals of the organization.
* Review work products of other Build & Release Team members and provide feedback and mentoring.
* Establish and publish best practices and standards for methodologies related to infrastructure and software configuration management as well as ensure that deployment/configuration management automation software developed by Build & Release team as well as technical partners adhere to these standards by conducting reviews of all CI/CD-related software and processes.
* Lead the planning and execution of complex technology changes to include task identification, task prioritization, and task ownership.
* Participate in the processes of strategic project-planning by providing guidance and expertise on system options, risks, and costs vs. benefits.
* Effective working with external vendors to design integrations, resolve integration issues, advanced root cause analysis, and solution design.
* Able to provide constructive feedback diplomatically to other team members, technical partners, customers, and leadership.
* Able to independently prioritize tasks when provided with guidance and escalating to leadership when conflicts arise.
* Able to execute a task independently when provided with requirements, resources, documentation, and guidelines (e.g., examples) and best practices.
* With little or no formal documentation or training is able to determine the root-cause of the failure and personally correct the problem or escalate to the appropriate individuals/teams for assistance.
