Job Description:

Candidate will be a industry and thought leader on mainframe security. In this role they will:

• Partner with Product Management in crafting and refining strategy

• Work with customers on cyber security strategies and leveraging our products and partnership to achieve them

• Collaborate with Engineering and architecture teams on defining and ensuring consistent architectures and implementations within the security value stream

• Works in daily collaboration with  all Agile teams in across the Data Tools value stream, often focusing on design decisions that must be made now to support the future features

• Work at the division level across value streams helping our teams solve division wide problems, become more effective, and

• Publish and present in industry forums

This role is a fully qualified senior Architect who can work independently interfacing with cross-functional team members, and internal and external customers at every level.

Job-Specific Authority and Scope

• Generally works without consulting their manager.

• Independent decisions are made daily.

• Examples of typical decisions without manager consultation:

• Establish upgrade and migration strategies that balance business goals, technological capabilities and customer needs.

• Evaluate design alternatives using cost benefit analysis or other appropriate techniques

• Balance the needs of the architecture with the needs of the business, and make tradeoffs that ensure customer value can be delivered at every Program Increment.

• Typically has no direct reports.

• Typically has no total staff.

• Typically has a global geographic focus.

• Typically does not manage a budget.

Work Experience
Bachelor's Degree and 18+ years in software design and development, with at least 15 years in the design and implementation of large-scale, multi-tiered, heterogeneous IT infrastructures. Hands on experience on a wide variety of platforms and knowledge of many programming languages and techniques. Extensive experience in IBM zOS is required as well as security and security tools.  Security expertise of at least 10 years is also required.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $156,000  - $260,000

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
