This is a hybrid (on-site 3 days/week) role based in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona.
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with Azure and Terraform expertise. This role is responsible for supporting Senior/Principal Engineers as well Azure performance-related issues with minimal oversight.
Role and Responsibilities
- Gather technical requirements, assess client capabilities, and analyze findings to provide appropriate solution recommendations and adoption strategies
- Participate in review sessions with architects, peers, and clients
- Build strong client relationships through trust, communication, and quality delivery
Preferred Qualifications
- 9+ years of experience in progressively responsible software engineering and DevOps (Azure/AWS or SRE)
- 6+ years of Linux experience (CentOS)
- Windows server administration experience a plus
- Development experience with a high-level language, preferably C# or Python
- A strong understanding of infrastructure-level resources (networking, storage, I/O, computing)
- CI/CD with Jenkins experience; the ability to troubleshoot issues in Azure/AWS
- AWS expertise with solid CI/CD, DevOps Engineering experience with Jenkins, Jira, ArgoCD, and Kubernetes/EKS
- Experience in AWS implementations and maintaining solutions
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, etc
- Infrastructure-as-code development in Terraform
- Scripting experience (Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
- Ability to communicate with clients on a business level and translate their needs into a technical solution
- Azure/AWS Certifications a plus
- Database administration experience, relational and NoSQL a plus
- Kubernetes experience with GKE, EKS, AKS, clusters a plus
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes a plus
