Purpose Statement
The Associate Project Manager will be a leading approved projects in the Boston Scientific India R&D organization. These projects vary in size and scope and may include New Product Development, Sustaining, Software as a medical Device, and acquisition driven projects, as well as driving strategic and transformational changes. This role will work collaboratively across various functions, BSC sites across the globe, and engage stakeholders to develop individual project strategies and tactical plans to deliver project results.
Key Responsibilities
- Project/Program Management: Manages all phases of the project from definition through clinical evaluation and/or launch. Responsible for establishing team operational goals, developing timeline/schedule to achieve operational goals, and operating budget required to achieve goals. Responsible for establishing prioritization of tasks across project, work streams, and owners.
- Product/Technology Management: Successfully manage the challenges of technology development, new therapy development and the challenges that arise from pioneering new medical therapies.
- Networking: Establishes strong relationships with other functions in the cross-functional team across the globe (R&D, DA, PD, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Quality, etc.).
- Communications and Reviews: Responsible for team and cross-functional communications; liaison between the team and senior leadership; leads phase and business reviews, project core team meetings, and other key program communications.
- Budget Management: Manages project budget and resources accurately and responsibly; facilitates budget and resource estimates for Strat Plan and AOP
Quality System Requirements
In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
For those individuals that supervise others, the following statements are applicable:
- Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.
- Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering or Project Management.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Willingness to travel to BSC sites, vendors, customers, etc. as needed. Travel not expected to exceed 10%-15%.
- PMP certification.
- Medical Device New Product Development experience and/or medical device product life cycle
- Candidate to be comfortable in front of all levels of the organization, as well as external customers.
- Candidate to have strong leadership and interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships within project teams.
- Experience working with Software/Systems/SUD technology within the medical device industry.
