DevOps Engineer
Key Role:
Translate complex functional and technical requirements into design and configuration of fully-automated DevSecOps scripts to build, test, and deploy applications using a variety of frameworks in client facing engagements. Provide system administration, operations support, applications monitoring, and configuration support in multiple cloud-based environments. Support project and tech leads in development plans, estimation, application deployment, monitoring and reviews.
Basic Qualifications:
4+ years of experience with IT development, Linux systems administration, system integration and engineering, Shell scripting, AWS CloudFormation, and AWS Elastic Container Service
Experience with designing and implementing monitoring solutions
Experience with building, configuring, and verifying fully automated capabilities for application deployment in multiple environments, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud-based environments
Experience with CI/CD, Git, Chef, Splunk, Ansible, Jenkins, Maven, and SonarQube
Experience with LDAP integration with active directory and application security, including SSO, OAuth, SAML, and PingFederate
Experience with Atlassian suite, including JIRA, Confluence, and Bamboo
Experience with system administration or engineering and applications monitoring or support in AWS Cloud-based environments
Ability to work independently, self-review work products, manage concurrent priority tasks, and develop time and effort estimation of design and development work to support sprint planning
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
Bachelor's degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with migration from on premise to Cloud based systems
Experience with using Agile development methods and processes
Experience with developing and reviewing SDLC work products and artifacts
Experience with API-services, COTS integration, Big Data, and search technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, Solr, Zookeeper, and ElasticSearch
Ability to communicate and trouble shoot
AWS Associate Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
