The Data team owns the data and ML infrastructure that power Bolt’s ambitions as a leading identity platform that powers personalized experiences across the entire e-commerce lifecycle
We are looking for an engineering manager with strong data and ML foundations, who is excited when facing big challenges, thrives when given autonomy to figure out solutions and loves diving deep into complex systems. If this describes you, get in touch with us!
Responsibilities:
- Manage a a cross-functional engineering team
- Define and drive the strategic direction for data and ML initiatives in alignment with business needs
- Own roadmaps, prioritization, technical architecture and day to day technical oversight for their team
- Coaching engineers and technical leads on your team to help them grow personally and professionally
- Build relationships with stakeholders across the organization to index for greatest impact
Requirements:
- BA/BS in a technical field. Computer Science or Computer Engineering is a plus
- 3+ years as an engineering manager
- 7+ years experience as an individual contributor on an engineering team
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in data infrastructure, data analytics, AI/ML platforms, and related domains
- Prior experience managing engineers at Venture backed or large scale tech firm
- Experience working with teams split across several sites is a plus
- Experience managing technical leads/managers is a plus

Estimated cash compensation for this role is $215k-$250k plus equity depending on experience
