Boeing Enterprise Security, BES, is looking for a Sr Security Design Specialist Software Developer. As a member of the BES Security Automation team, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of automated software solutions.

The position will place you in a role where you are at the center of the BES organization with the opportunity to make a significant impact in the delivery of services and capabilities. The ideal candidate will provide technical expertise, demonstrate a growth mindset, be curious, and have strong problem-solving skills.

This role will be based out of Bangalore, India.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead the creation and execution of an automation and development roadmap across the security automation ecosystem
• Contribute to the development within our SOAR tool, delivering a self-service offering tailored for ease of use by other security teams
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions that align with business goals.
• Help define technical requirements, system architecture, and design patterns for complex software products.
• Own the design and development of applications and integrations
• Act as an advisor and mentor across the security organization to drive the adoption of modern software engineering, deployment, and monitoring technologie.

Required Skills/Experience:

• 5+ years’ experience in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java
• Experience with REST/web services development
• Security Automation familiarity in one or more of the following areas: knowledge of micro-service concepts, experience with SOAR applications, workflow integrations, cyber security COTS & Open Source products/platforms, security event and alert prioritization
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline technologies (e.g. Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab)
• Experience with configuration management technologies (e.g. Chef, Ansible, Terraform)
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Good personal communication skills are vital.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience ) :

• Related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) Preferred, but not required.
• Experience working in an Agile software development team
• Experience with developing on AWS or other IaaS cloud providers
• Good knowledge of container solutions: Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
• Experience with GIT (Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, git-flow will be a plus)
• Experience with Cloud Solutions (Azure, AWS)
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Perl.

Typical Education & Experience:

Typically 12 or more years related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) Preferred, but not required.
