The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for a Project Management Team Lead to join the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization. BDS is a global leader in the development, production, maintenance and enhancement of fixed-wing and rotary wing aircraft, commercial and government satellites, human spaceflight programs and weapons. Key markets include aeronautics, space and weapons. Core capabilities are in development, production and mission enabling upgrades of integrated solutions. The goal of this position is to leverage Boeing program management best practices to ensure transition success for key future work placement of BDS.
Position Responsibilities:
- Ensures all special projects are managed in accordance with Boeing PM best practices
- Leads multi-functional team performing critical transition activities across multiple functions within Phantom Works and Boeing Defense, Space & Security.
- Develops and executes integrated transition plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, and objectives for coded projects
- Acquires resources for key transition activities, assists with program management oversight of suppliers and leads process improvements for multiple coded projects
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with key customers, community leaders, stakeholders, peers, and industry partners
This position is expected to be 100% on-site. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in the Greater Florida Space Coast Operations area.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ year of experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects, transactions, or initiatives
- 3+ year of experience working with multiple internal and external stakeholders (i.e. business partner, customer, Finance, suppliers) in planning and executing projects
- 3+ years of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams
- 3+ years of experience in advising and influencing managers or non-managers to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Prior management or team lead experience
- Experience in Federal & DoD government services policies, guidance and regulations.
- Experience with financial reporting
- Experience in interacting with functions such as Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, or other related functions
- Knowledge and/or experience within the aviation industry
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher

Senior (Level 4)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.)
