Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplane (BCA) is hiring Mid-Level, Lead or Senior Process Engineers for multiple organizations in Everett, WA. Process engineers work across the full product lifecycle and interact with multiple organizations across BCA. These specific assignments are on the PD Engineering Operations team, ALEI Lean+ Systems Integration Management (LSIM) team, Supply Chain engineering and Airplane Systems Process & Tools teams. Assignment to a specific role and team will be based on skills and experience level.

Process Engineers leads the analysis of engineering design, manufacturing and product support process requirements.  Applies industry standard analysis methods and techniques to continuously improve and optimize solutions for complex engineering and manufacturing processes, throughout the value stream. Leads and directs the implementation of program transition plans, to improve existing processes and optimize the effective application of new tool technologies such as model based systems engineering. Utilizes extensive knowledge of product design, change management and build processes to apply principles of Lean Product Development, Theory of Constraints and Critical Chain Project Management. Construct program planning models simulating the multi-functional dependencies of the product development lifecycle. Uses virtual visualization simulation tools to oversee the technical integration analysis process. Directs the analysis of specific product configurations for completeness and integration status.

Selected candidates will be matched with teams in various BCA organizations including Airplane Level Engineering Integration (ALEI), Supply Chain Engineering, AP Systems Process & Tools and BCA Product Development. All positions require the ability to clearly communicate technical information to multiple audiences (e.g. engineer to executive) in the BCA organization. Some positions will require the ability to develop and maintain new processes and code software tools.

A Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid-Level (Level 3), Lead (Level 4) and Senior (Level 5) Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Create and develop Airplane Systems processes and tools for consistency and effectiveness while, leveraging AI and Machine learning technologies.
  • Analyze and update requirements for current and new development tools and processes.
  • Engage with a domestic and global workforce for congruent tools access and utilization.
  • Lead the development and integration of engineering processes to enable a learning organization culture within Technical Design Reviews and Design Practices.
  • Investigate process escapes, determine root cause, identify overarching themes, & propose mitigating actions.
  • Possess or quickly gain an in-depth understanding of various change processes and authorities.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams, project administrators, and other groups to identify process improvements, gain buy-in, & implement process improvement.
  • Leads the analysis of engineering design, manufacturing and product support requirements and applies industry standard analysis methods and techniques to continuously improve and optimize solutions for complex engineering and manufacturing processes to throughout the value stream.
  • Leads, directs or coordinates the implementation of program transition plans to improve existing processes and optimize the effective application of new tool technologies and or processes.
  • Utilizes extensive knowledge of product design and build processes and applies principles of Lean Product Development, Theory of Constraints and Critical Chain Project Management to construct program planning models simulating the multi-functional dependencies of the product development lifecycle.
  • Oversees technical integration analysis to engineering design teams using virtual visualization and simulation tools.
  • Directs the analysis of specific product configurations for completeness and integration status.
  • Works under minimal direction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Typical Education & Experience:

Mid-Level: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Lead: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Senior: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range Mid-Level: $94,350 - $127,650

Summary pay range Lead: $116,450- $157,550

Summary pay range Senior: $144,500 - $195,500
