Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a PAC-3 Production Engineering Planner located in Huntsville, AL. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration. Position Overview:

The Lead PAC-3 Production Engineering Planner will be a part of a high-performing team.  As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to invest in the future of the Boeing’s Integrated Air Missile Defense program. This role will include interfacing with production systems and other functions to meet drawing requirements and as built records. This position will focus on developing work instructions as well as creating and incorporating Non Conformance Record work orders in support of both PAC-3 Production and Sustainment programs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Plans and leads department/organization processes for developing, implementing and maintaining various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration.
  • Develops and plans manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives. Prepares build analyses and cost estimate reports.
  • Leads integration of complex suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.
  • Participates in source selection to ensure manufacturing requirements are met. Develops complex tooling requirements based on manufacturing and engineering requirements. Manages tooling from initial design to end of use disposition.
  • Leads investigation and resolution of complex or systemic manufacturing related issues. Leads teams performing producibility assessments of design concepts. Supports enterprise level benchmarking to incorporate best practices.
  • Leads development of complex work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments.
  • Develops scheduling templates for use by others. Drafts, updates and reviews processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements. Develops and documents new job practices, techniques and standards.
  • Works under minimal direction.

Work Authorization:

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 6 years or more of experience in/with MESci or other related production systems supporting the build of engineering designs
  • 6 years or more of experience in/with Non Conformance Records and developing of plans to meet disposition intent.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
  • 10 years or more of experience in/with engineering specifications
  • # years or more of experience in/with implementation of work instructions and engineering requirements

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+4 years' related work experience, 8 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Typical summary pay range (Level 4): $76,500 – $103,500
