The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization, Precision Engagement Systems (PES) Division is seeking a Lead Project Engineer (Level 4) to join our Cruise Missile Systems team in Saint Charles, MO.  Our team focuses on delivering complex solutions in some of the most challenging environments on Earth. Position Overview:

The Lead Project Engineer will be a part of a high-performing team. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to support development, build, and testing of our Cruise Missile System products (SLAM ER, HIIU, HCDS, etc.). This role will include close collaboration across CMS teams – engineering, supply chain, operations, program management, etc.

Position Responsibilities:

  • EBOM/MBOM/PC/Delivery Reconciliation.

  • Hardware Utilization List (e.g. development program and test missile utilization assignment).

  • Part Shortage Leadership and Resolution.

  • Development Missiles Assembly/Integration/Factory Test Readiness.

  • Development Missiles Assembly/Integration/Factory Test Constraints (e.g. parts, work instructions, tooling, consumables, nonconformances, etc).

  • Development Missiles Assembly/Integration/Factory Test Metrics.

  • Critical Path Analysis, Risk/Opportunity Management.

  • Identify “Workable Work”.

  • Accelerated Rework Instructions process implementation and work to do management.

  • Root Cause Corrective Action Leadership.

  • Monthly DCMA Readiness Package.

Work Authorization:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. confidential clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

  • Experience working with product development, fabrication/assembly, and testing.

  • Experience communicating effectively (written, verbal, etc.) across functions, programs, and various levels of leadership.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5 years or more of experience with weapons or missile missile products.

  • 5 years or more of experience working across functions/programs in support of product development.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Typical summary pay range (Level4): $114,750 – $155,250.
