Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Brazil is seeking Associate Structural Analysis Engineer, with knowledge of stress analysis methods, engineering principles and coordination skills, reporting to the Structures Manager, working in the São José dos Campos office.

The Associate Structural Analysis Engineer will join Boeing Commercial Aircraft Structures team and will develop and provide support to the 7-Series Boeing aircraft, focused on Wing and Empennage.

Position Responsibilities:

•          Perform basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.

•          Support product design and verify structural integrity of parts and components by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to ensure safety, quality and performance of the product.

•          Participate on customers and other stakeholders’ communication to understand and support structural solutions.

•          Support on root causes investigation to help the team on providing timely responses to the fleet events.

•          Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.

•          Works under general direction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Must have existing rights to work in Brazil

• Must have a degree in Engineering

• Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA)

• Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language

• Relevant experience with Structures Engineering (Static, Fatigue and/or Damage Tolerance analysis)

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

• Relevant experience with fasteners/joints analysis, composite structural analysis and/or metallic structural analysis

• Relevant experience with structural analysis methods and tools (Hand-Calculation and Finite Element Analysis Method)

• Notions of design and analysis of metallic and/or composite materials

• Notions of Aeronautical Repair’s design and substantiation

• Initial contact with Aircraft Manuals, such as SRM, AMM, MRB, AIPC and other

Relocation:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
