Customer Description:
Our customer is an Intelligence Agency (IA) delivering world-class geospatial intelligence providing a decisive advantage to policymakers, war-fighters, intelligence professionals and first responders. The customer enables all of these critical actions and shapes decisions impacting our world through the indispensable discipline of geospatial intelligence (GEOINT).  Our customer is a unique combination of intelligence and combat support agency. It is the world leader in timely, relevant, accurate, and actionable GEOINT. This IA enables the U.S. intelligence community (IC) and the Department of Defense (DOD) to fulfill the president’s national security priorities to protect the nation.  Although GEOINT is the most critical data within this agency, all data that is produced, collected and stored plays a supportive role in the day-to-day operations of our customer.

Program Description:
The program within the agency is the go-to-platform for the ingestion and surfacing of data within the agency.  Its core mission is to provide an analytics and visualization platform for corporate business data sets such as: Information Technology, Cyber, Security, Financial, Contract, Customer Feedback, and Mission Management Activity.  Ultimately this team will provide the Agency with the capability for a centralized authoritative data repository, refreshed automatically, from source systems of record and transaction databases along with a range of visualization tools for reporting and delivery to end-users.

BlackSpoke is a contractor on a program awarded to provide agile operations, adaptive maintenance, and minor enhancement services to support the maintenance, integration, and ingest of multiple business data sets into an analytic environment.  As part of this program is supporting the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) with Cybersecurity Business Intelligence (CBI).  Using various data sets from cybersecurity tools we perform end-to-end data collection, intake and processing and provide analytic reporting for the customer using tools such as Tableau, SageMaker, and Web reports.

Team Description

The Blackspoke Team consists of various experts within the IC that are highly focused on Cloud Architecture & Design, Data Architects & Scientists, Data Visualization Experts, User Interface & User Experience (UI/UX) Experts, Database Warehouse & Mining Experts, and Scrum Masters that will help achieve and mission objectives.

What you will be working on:
As the Data Scientist, you will:

• Develop methods to identify, collect, process, manage, and analyze large volumes of data for building actionable cybersecurity business intelligence.
• Identify CBI reporting needs based on customer input and desired outcomes.
• Select relevant data sets from our catalogue of ingested cybersecurity tool data to create CBI products.
• Produce CBI reports using tools such as Tableau, SageMaker, and Web pages.

What you will bring to us (Must):

• Bachelors + 4 years of related experience or equivalent
• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Proficiency in Tableau reporting, utilizing multiple large and complex data sets.
• Strong understanding of querying database tables, developing relationships among data sets, and joining data to produce reports.
• Experience with TSQL programming.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team of experts in Cloud Architecture, Data Visualization, UI/UX, and Data Warehousing.

Would be nice if you bring the following (Highly Desired):

• Advanced analytical skills and experience in producing complex data-driven reports.
• Experience with AWS SageMaker or similar machine learning platforms.
