Job Description:

Building software to collect, aggregate, and analyze data at scale using continuous, incremental development methodologies. Work with a close-knot team across multiple locations. Assist with the architect and evolving the pipeline to support large volumes via cloud data warehouses. Bring actionable security insights to the customer through integrating new data sources, surfacing new features from existing data, and refining the rating algorithm. Collaborates with data science and research teams and build trust with BitSight customers in the quality and integrity of our data.

Job Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) Cybersecurity, Computer Science or a directly related field plus three (3) years of experience as an Engineer or related occupation with experience in modern Java. Experience must include:

Three (3) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

• Computer Science fundamentals in design, data structures, and algorithms

Two (2) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

• Building and operating large-scale data pipelines

• CI/CD and Kubernetes

One (1) year of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

• Python

• Hadoop, Spark, Elasticsearch

• NoSQL data warehouses such as AWS Redshift

• Working in the IT security domain

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm.

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is US$150000 to $160000 annually for US-based employees.  This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, is based on a full-time work schedule, and is Bitsight’s good faith estimate as of the date of this posting.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for participation in a bonus or commission plan and an equity grant.  Bitsight also offers a competitive benefits package, including but not but limited to medical, dental, and vision insurance; paid parental leave; flexible time off; a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities; life and disability insurance; and tuition reimbursement.
