BitPay is in search of a talented Node.js Developer to join our dynamic development team. As a key member, you'll play an important role in crafting new products, driving innovation, and staying ahead of technological advancements. This is a remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within the U.S. while contributing to our exciting projects.

Responsibilities:

Develop robust Node.js applications for production use
Address scalability, reliability, and logging challenges during development phases

Requirements:

5+ years of hands-on development experience
Proficiency in server-side development with a strong focus on Node.js
Familiarity with blockchain technology and how it works
A passion for building and working with blockchain technology
Solid understanding of MongoDB
Experience with version control systems, ideally Git
Knowledge of asynchronous programming models
Knowledge of Linux-based systems
Passion for your craft, an insatiable drive for progress, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, with a track record of impressive projects

Preferred:

Experience working with EVM and/or UTXO blockchains
Experience working in high-security development environments
Passion for cryptocurrency as a payments system
Proficiency in integrating frontend and backend systems via HTTP APIs, including rapid consumption of REST-based web services using JSON
Proficiency with client-side technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, React, Vue, SolidJS, babel, webpack, etc.
Background in Test Driven Development (TDD)
