Your mission:
As a Backend Developer at Bitpanda, you will be responsible for writing, reviewing and maintaining clean and scalable code over all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle.

Bitpanda's cloud based infrastructure allows partners to create their own customer experiences by leveraging our end-to-end automated trading infrastructure, compliant with the highest security standards.
In this solution we have cross-functional E2E teams, based in Bucharest and Vienna, aiming to develop our whitelabel solution. We have a microservices infrastructure with an event driven architecture. Our microservice are mainly in GO and PHP and we use Kafka and SQS.
What you'll do:
- Develop high-quality features, ensure high test coverage and troubleshoot to eliminate bugs
- Keep debug-outputs tidy, write comments during development and ensure technical documentation
- Constantly optimise systems to ensure reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability
Who you are
- Excellent skills using PHP 8 / 8.1 (Laravel / Symfony Framework)
- Strong skills with Databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL / NoSQL), including design and optimisation
- Experience with microservice architecture
- Experience with message queuing service architecture (using AMQP, Kafka or SQS)
- Experience with Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes
