About the Role   

The Data Security will join a team developing an enterprise data lake that supports data science, analytics, and business intelligence activities across the company.  We are looking someone who has experience of using Identity Access Management and Securing/Supporting Cloud based Big Data Infrastructure that hosts variety of data from internal and external sources at scale.  The ideal candidate will have sound understanding and hands on experience with Dev SecOps for Data and Cloud Security along with the strong background Data Engineering on Cloud.  The candidate will join a global team of 5-10 high-performing data engineers building a secure ad centralized data platform to support an expanding set of internal users and a growing volume and data. 

Key Responsibilities   

• Build and manage Secure Big Data Platform (using Databricks) to ingest, process and share IoT, System Operations and Third-party data
• Develop Security Architecture for Data Platform
• Work with Information Security team to build Data Governance process
• Create Roles/Groups definitions to grant/deny access to various data sources using Databricks security framework
• Use Cloud IAM to design and configure access for individuals and cloud services using Terraform
• Configure identity federation between enterprise identity provider, Azure AD, and Cloud IAM and Data Lake Platform
• Manage granular permissions for Individuals and Data processing pipelines to data assets
• Develop cloud-based data processing pipelines using Spark, SQL, and Python
• Develop automation to using Shell/Python scripting to analyze permissions and security posture of data environments
• Create CI/CD Pipelines to automation deployment of roles, privileges for a target data environment
• Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to prioritize and develop data infrastructure that serve the needs of the company 

Requirements

What We Are Looking For

• BS in computer science, mathematics, engineering, information systems, or related field 
• 5+ year of work experience as data engineer on cloud based environments
• 3+ years of work experience as data security engineer on modern data platforms
• Sound understanding of Cloud Computing and Security concepts
• Experience in Privileged Access Management
• Experience of deploying Security Infrastructure as Code using CI/CD Pipelines
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines for deploying Infrastructure and Data Pipelines
• Experience with data lake or data warehouse development and management including ETL/ELT pipelines
• Strong scripting skills using BASH/Perl, Python, 
• Strong coding skills in SQL, Python, Apache Spark/PySpark
• Familiarity with quality engineering practices including software testing and validation 
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and technologies such as Databricks, Apache Beam, Airflow, and Google Cloud Functions 
• High attention to detail
• Strong written and oral communication skills 
• Ability to work under pressure in a startup environment

Job Type: Full-time – Exempt

Salary Expectations: $140,000 - $160,000 (based on experience and location)
