This position is based at our San Jose Headquarters   We support a  hybrid work environment with on-site and remote work days.

• Conducts forensic examinations of electronic evidence, including computer-related equipment, cell phones, network devices, information systems, and digital software.
• Use forensic software applications to analyze various forms of digital evidence.
• Collect, transport, label and secure evidence from crime scenes or during forensic processing.
• Works with Investigators and prosecutors in handling digital evidence and safeguarding data from potential contamination or exposure during extraction or transport.
• Disassembles and examines computers, other hardware and related peripherals.
• Prepares and maintains needed statistical and operational logs, records, databases and other files according to agency protocols.
• Constructs computers and peripheral devices as needed to support digital forensic duties.
• Investigate employee data theft matters using computer forensics tools and techniques.
• Be available  for time-sensitive employee data theft projects that may require travel to client sites on short notice, including weekend and evening work when required.
• Analyze event logs from devices such as firewalls, DLP, etc.
• Lead and perform other types of digital forensic investigations of electronic devices, networks, and systems, utilizing forensically sound procedures.
• Testify as an expert witness in civil or regulatory matters, as requested.

We’d love to chat if you have:

• 7+ years of professional work experience in the information security field, with emphasis on security operations, incident management,Threat Detection.
• SOC automation development and cloud operations experience
• Experience with Digital Forensics tools like Encase, Cellebrite, Axiom
• Thorough knowledge of SIEM, SOAR and EDR technologies.
• Experienced with EnCase, FTK, X-Ways, SANS SIFT, Splunk, Volatility, WireShark, TCPDump, and open source forensic tools
• Understanding of Incident Response Life Cycle and Digital Forensics.
• Experience with Mac, Linux and Windows operating systems
• Ability to handle high pressure situations with key stakeholders
• Good Analytical skills, Problem solving and Interpersonal skills 
• Advanced technical writing skill and on-call experience
• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/related field or equivalent work experience
• Professional certification such as GCIH/GCFA/CEH/CHFI is highly preferred
