What you'll do:

  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving software-related problems reported by end-users.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to troubleshoot issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Communicate with users in a professional and customer-friendly manner.
  • Gather and maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of software issues and their step-by-step resolutions.
  • Contribute to the development and updating of a knowledge base for internal reference.
  • Collaborate with other members of the software support team to share knowledge and insights.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on process improvement.
  • Actively engage in training sessions to enhance technical skills and product knowledge.
  • Stay informed about the latest software versions, updates, and industry best practices.
  • Prioritize and manage support tickets efficiently to meet established service level agreements.
  • Work on multiple tasks concurrently while ensuring the quality and accuracy of solutions.
  • Seek feedback from supervisors, mentors, and peers to improve performance.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to incorporating feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Adhere to company policies, guidelines, and ethical standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information related to software support.

What you'll need:

  • Lives in the Kansas City metro area
  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related degree (Juniors or Seniors preferred)
  • Familiarity with programming languages, development tools, or software development concepts is a plus.
  • Entry-level certifications related to software support or development can be advantageous.
  • Showcase any relevant projects or coursework that demonstrate problem-solving skills in a software context.
  • Previous experience in customer service roles, especially those related to software support, is beneficial.
  • Basic understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) can be an asset.
  • Team player with good communication
  • Positive attitude
