Regional Reliability & Integrity Engineer 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

As Bayer Crop Science's digital farming arm, we advance regenerative agriculture and technology breakthroughs using the latest agronomic science, data science, engineering, and real-world farming experience. With groundbreaking technologies like Climate FieldView and our ForGround regenerative agriculture platform, our team is a part of some of the most important advancements in ag.  

 

The Senior Reg. Reliability & Integrity Engineer position will   

  • Function as a point of contact for maintenance, reliability and integrity performance issues, initiatives, and disciplines 

  • Support compliance with relevant regulations, as required by Authorities Having Jurisdiction: Federal (OSHA and EPA), States, and Local Municipalities 

  • Effectively utilize CMMS systems to manage Reliability & Integrity Excellence in the region  

  • Provide consultation for Mechanical & Electrical Integrity, and Reliability of facilities and process equipment including: integrity inspection policy/concept, quality management strategy, material selection and specification (metallic and nonmetallic), weld quality assurance, degradation mechanisms, rotating equipment reliability 

  • Engage with technicians and engineers to troubleshoot equipment integrity problems and to assure the appropriate application of Company standards and required industry codes of practice for new fabrications and in service equipment 

  • Facilitate, monitor, and report the development and implementation of the asset management strategy Asset Criticality Analysis (ACA), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and preventive/predictive maintenance (PM/PdM)  

  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA)/Defect Elimination (DE) investigation teams utilizing methodical processes and analytical problem-solving techniques to resolve bad actor asset performance issues  

  • Travel Requirement Avg 40% is expected within region  

 

Required qualifications  

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline with 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing or Chemical Industry in the areas of maintenance, engineering, and operations 

  • Mechanical, chemical, electrical / instrumentation or electromechanical background 

  • Experienced in reliability centered maintenance and engineering 

  • Competent and knowledgeable of the holistic approach to effective asset performance management 

 

Preferred qualifications 

  • Self-motivated and effective as leader and as an individual contributor 

  • Collaborative team player, and capable of working well with people across all hierarchies  

  • Strong interpersonal skills such as communication, active listening, verbal proficiency, able to effectively communicate with people of all levels and backgrounds within the organization  

  • Effective organizational and presentation skills  

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills  

  • Proven ability to propose, develop, lead, and execute projects and programs • Ability to effectively communicate technical subject matter, and to compose technical documents and reports  

  • Fluent English language skills, written and oral  

  • Good knowledge of planned preventive and predictive (PM/PdM) maintenance principles and practices and predictive, condition based, maintenance technologies  

  • Good basic understanding of root cause analysis (RCA) and six sigma techniques  

  • Sound knowledge of computerized maintenance management software tools (Maintenance Connection, SAP, Prometheus, Meridium)
