We are looking for a Freelance DevOps Engineer (all genders) to join our data platform team at Babbel! 

What's the goal? 

As Data Foundations, we want to develop a new data pipeline with such reliability, resilience and recovery capabilities that newcomers will be able to use it safely and efficiently while exploiting our data value. 

What's your role in it? 

We're looking for a self-driven person with a client-oriented mindset who loves to turn recurrent manual tasks into automated solutions. More specifically, we need your help increasing observability over our projects, improving our IaC to Infra ratio and increasing the security of our CI/CD workflows in GitHub.

You have:

• Expert AWS knowledge (4+ years of experience): S3, Lambda, Kinesis are a must.
• Mastered usage of Terraform
• Good command of Python (2+ years of experience)
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions
• Knowledge of Datadog
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Past experiences in scenarios such as:
  • Implementing complex CI deployment scenarios
  • Automating a streaming pipeline with automatic recovery scenarios
  • Managing complex access policies
  • Implementing cost or data quality monitoring solutions

Nice to have:

• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks or Spark
