Principal Software Engineer, Data Pipeline

What your day will look like:

The team is part of the Axonius platform group, which is responsible for all the core infrastructure on which all Axonius products are developed.

The data pipeline team is responsible for the main data pipeline of the Axonius Platform, aka the “Discovery Cycle”  flow.

The Discovery Cycle is the main operation of all Axonius platform products, in charge of retrieving data from hundreds of sources, triggering all internal operations and eventually storing a sealed, full, true, inventory of assets.

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will research, design, and implement the solid infrastructure and core components of Axonius Platform.

This is a key-role that involves collaboration with various R&D teams, Product and Architecture functions.

You’ll play a key role in strategizing the engineering efforts of the platform in order to get to high scalability.
This role requires a high degree of independence, the ability to analyze problems and deal with complex technical problems in a production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design the next generation of the Discovery Cycle by addressing the gaps, needs and bottlenecks.
• Implement the next generation of Axonius Discovery Cycle while preserving a clean-design, high code standards, efficiency and reliability.
• Constantly monitor the data pipeline performance and make recommendations to enhance system architecture.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, R&D Teams, and other stakeholders, to improve the overall solution.

Reach out if you are:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in server-side development.
• 2+ years of experience with Python development.
• Experience with No-SQL DBs - preferably MongoDB.
• Experience with Monitoring, Metrics and Tracing technologies and concepts.
• Knowledge in networking - TCP/IP, common protocols, routing, NAT, etc.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Can do approach.
• Experience with Messaging technologies.
• Experience in the cyber security industry - advantage.
