Farnell, an Avnet company, is a global high-service distributor of technology products, services and solutions for electronic system design, maintenance and repair.

Nature and Purpose:

Responsible for quality checks of enriched products for display on business’ websites, ensuring technical attribute data quality levels are in accordance with service level agreements. Additionally responsible for liaising with cross functional teams to ensure successful delivery of all data related projects.

Accountabilities with Key Outcomes:

Ensure quality and consistency of business’ technical product data.

Strive continually to improve the quality and completeness of technical data on business’ websites.

Document process work instructions and data quality guidelines.

4

Resolve technical product data issues identified during enrichment process of new to market products.

5

Liaise with internal customers such as Product Managers to gather relevant data and information.

Monitor market competitors looking for changes in marketing capabilities.

Review Spotted an Error cases and identify root cause and define preventive actions.

Provide monthly dashboard reports to management.

Essential   2-4  Years Min Relevant Experience

• Excellent attention to detail
• Demonstrate an understanding of, and have previously worked in an environment dealing with electronic, electrical, electro-mechanical/connectors components.
• Experienced in product data management, classification, and attribute data management. 
• Exposure to improving SEO using keywords and other processes will be an added advantage.
• Understanding of breadth and variety of products offered by the Farnell Avnet group.  A high level of technical product expertise is expected in some technology segments.
• Read and understand the technical specifications from a datasheet
• Excellent communicator in written and spoken English.  Should have a flair for technical content writing.

Desirable

• Qualified Degree/Diploma/BSc. in an electronic, electrical or engineering discipline.
• Exposure to Component Engineering Procedures and Cross Reference data management
• Prior experience of working in a global team
• Flexible and adaptable attitude & strong work ethics.
• Flair for market research and benchmarking procedures
• Ability to plan and priorities own work effectively to achieve set end results.  An awareness of the activities of other jobs and departments is also necessary
• Ability to learn new things and take on new responsibilities and challenges.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
