Who is the Aviatrix Edge Team?
Aviatrix Edge is a team of dedicated engineers tasked with building out Aviatrix’s Edge solution, allowing businesses to seamlessly and securely integrate their on-premises footprint with their assets hosted in public cloud.
We are searching for a Principal Software Engineer to join Aviatrix Edge Networking Team. This role allows remote flexibility in the United States and Canada.
Your Responsibilities:
- Analyze and understand different on-prem solution connectivity requirements and design the end-to-end solution
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of the solution
- Collaborate with product management and other software development teams and lead end-to-end feature delivery
- Conduct design and code reviews, mentor junior developers on the team
- Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system components
- Proactively identify and drive changes as needed for the product
Your Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in networking, security, and distributed systems software design and development
- Experience with Cloud Service Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, Alibaba cloud, etc.) in the networking and security space
- Proficiency in a variety of modern programming languages (C, C++, Golang, Python, etc...)
- Experience with core networking (e.g., Gateway, Internet, NAT, Dynamic Routing)
- Experience with networking routing protocols such as BGP
- Understanding simple and robust designs, including designing REST APIs
- Experience with Linux kernel networking stack and userspace packet processing technologies (e.g. DPDK)
- Team player who works well in a collaborative start-up environment
- Flexibility to embrace rapid changes and learnings
Nice to Have Qualifications:
- Familiarity with IPSEC
- Familiarity with SD-WAN and/or SASE solutions
US Pay Range
The US annual base salary range for this full-time position is $205,000 -$290,000 + benefits + 401(k) match + equity. The pay range is determined by the role, work location, job-related skills, level, experience and relevant education. [Certain roles are eligible to earn sales commission, depending on the terms of the applicable plan.] The range displayed is the minimum and maximum target base salary and is applicable only for new hires for the listed position located in the US.
