Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. Research, design, develop, and test Autodesk’s cloud ecosystems. Set operational specifications, formulate, and analyze software requirements. Design embedded systems software. Research, conceive, design, and develop and test features that give customers controls within the ACC platform. Collaborate with a variety of teams in Autodesk Construction Solutions, both domestic and abroad. Write unit / integration tests to achieve a better and more robust code. Take an active role in code reviews, pull requests, have code reviewed by the team and become a better developer overall. Set and maintain high coding standards during feature development. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States. Telecommuting is permitted.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field followed by 3 years of experience in the job offered or in an application developer-related occupation. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States. Telecommuting is permitted.
 

Special Requirements:

Position requires at least 2 years of experience in each of the following:

• Experience with creation of intricate algorithms in Java and Python.

• Experience creating efficient APIs allowing Server/Client communication.

• Experience with development of complex backend systems in NodeJS.

• Experience creating thorough JUnit tests, ensuring the code quality of large applications.

• Experience conducting Security Scans using BlackDuck.

• Experience performing Application Monitoring using services such as AppDynamics, NewRelic.

• Experience communicating technical concepts with customers on a frequent basis to resolve any issues they have with the product.

• Experience developing code in Rails.

Position also requires at least some experience in each of the following:

• Experience with management of large data sets.

• Experience maintaining and interacting with multiple SQL databases.

Salary transparency  

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $147,368 - $180,000/year. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
