Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Program Manager to drive and support strategic initiatives overseen by the Chief of Staff to the CEO.
In this role, you must be equally comfortable in a management consulting role at an external firm. You must be a team player who possesses strong people and analytical skills, business process design experience, and enjoys improving our company. To be successful, you will collaborate across multiple teams, including senior executive personnel and explain complex concepts. You must think logically about what steps, people, dependencies, and deliverables are needed to achieve each milestone. You are someone who excels in a dynamic environment, is proactive and curious, and possesses the experience to work independently in complex environments.
Your potential project ownership may include:
- Managing, nurturing, and evolving Autodesk's Chief of Staff cohort community (60+ people) and annual summit
- Supporting the design and execution of Autodesk's corporate strategic planning approach (Strategic Intent, Strategic Realization)
- Codifying and advocating for Autodesk's approach to strategic, cross-functional teams
You will report to the VP and Chief of Staff to the CEO and will require partnership with most divisions of Autodesk, especially with other Chiefs of Staff and CEO staff. This role is envisioned as a 2-year pathway; it is expected that at the end of path, you will be prepared to take on a senior Chief of Staff role within Autodesk (though a Chief of Staff path is just one of several paths that might be available).
We support fully remote work, but we have a preference to candidates in the Pacific Time Zone.
Responsibilities
- Initiate and manage program/project scope, milestones, plan, and regular project status dashboards, ensuring proper documentation is maintained
- Facilitate and be accountable for driving project priorities and deliverables
- Breakdown business process and deliverables into key steps and define roles and responsibilities for each step and deliverable
- Nominate and select business partners to drive project deliverables with articulation of the need and excitement for the outcome
- Problem solve when issues arise and escalation to resolution when needed
- Establish project norms and positive communication among internal partners, functional groups, and leadership
- Conduct project retrospectives with teams to optimize future project effectiveness
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of experience in complex program/project management and delivery, ideally of projects spanning multiple divisions and senior stakeholders of Autodesk
- Familiarity and capability with human centered design approaches or design thinking
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to brainstorm potential solutions to business problems and translate these into executable project plans
- Ability to operate in matrixed environments
- Ability to inspire commitment, and energy from teams; results-driven while inspiring trust
- Ability to communicate effectively, build rapport with, and influence a wide variety of internal stakeholders and business partners
