FAE (Field Applications Engineer), Shanghai

Our R&D Product team is looking for an FAE to join our team. The FAE will get full technical training in Germany or Israel and will then work at our China office. The FAE might also be required to travel occasionally to Germany or Israel.

As an Application Engineer, you will work in the field of ADAS/AD and Software Engineering. You will apply this technology in sophisticated customer applications, for the development and testing of advanced perception algorithms for research or production-intent programs.

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with customers across the automotive industry to provide tools and tool extensions in the area of data-driven development (DDD)
• Work closely with the algo and development engineers to ensure systems are designed and delivered with appropriate requirements.
• Create product analysis reports that summarize key metrics and create a deeper understanding of the AutoBrains systems to provide actionable insights.
• Building and operating automated tools for monitoring and data analysis.
• Evaluate system behavior in a data-driven way through metrics development.
• Analyze data to create a deeper understanding of the AutoBrains systems.
• Responsible to create recordings in vehicle or HiL systems
• Validation of the ADAS system in vehicle and HIL until ready for series production
• Support existing customers with issues related to projects and tool use

Must Have's:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science/Software Engineering, or related experience
• Work experience in the Automotive industry
• Experience with the ADAS/AD domain
• Work experience with CAN-BUS, Ethernet, and other data & video protocols 
• Intermediate Python coding ability
• Intermediate C++ coding ability
• Experience with both Windows and Linux environments
• Driving license (private cars)
• Chinese national
• Advanced level in English – including technical conversation, reading, and writing (additional foreign languages competency, an advantage)
• Willingness to travel for additional tests from time to time
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
