Sr Staff Mobile Automation Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for iOS and Android applications, ensuring thorough coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
• Utilize Appium with Python to automate mobile testing processes, including UI testing, regression testing, and compatibility testing across various devices and OS versions.
• Conduct load tests to assess the performance, scalability, and reliability of mobile applications under different user loads and network conditions.
• Perform API testing using Python-based tools and frameworks to verify the functionality, security, and integrity of backend services.
• Implement and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium with Python for web applications, ensuring consistent and reliable test execution.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify testing requirements, prioritize tasks, and troubleshoot issues.
• Configure and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins, automating build, test, and deployment processes.
• Leverage GCP cloud services to create and manage testing environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software quality assurance and testing.
• Demonstrate a proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning new technologies and methodologies to enhance testing processes and efficiency.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Python programming language, with hands-on experience in Appium automation for iOS and Android applications.
• Available to work during US Pacific Timezone business hours (Night Shift).
• Experience with UI testing frameworks such as Selenium with Python
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, focusing on mobile testing and automation.
• Strong understanding of mobile testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Experience in conducting load tests and performance testing using industry-standard tools and techniques.
• Solid understanding of API testing concepts and proficiency in Python-based API testing frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and proficiency in configuring and managing pipelines.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and proficiency in deploying and managing test environments.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications in mobile testing, automation, or cloud computing.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with other testing tools and frameworks, such as XCTest, or pytest.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform GCP and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
