JOB TITLE:  Senior System Engineer

JOB LOCATION: 208 S. Akard St., Dallas, TX 75202 [and various work locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home]

DUTIES:   AT&T Services, Inc., is seeking a Senior System Engineer in Dallas, TX [and various work locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home] to elaborate the design and interfaces for specific components including: define subsystems and their interfaces, allocate responsibilities to subsystems, understand solution deployment, and communicate requirements for interactions with solution context. Establish critical NFRs at the solution level, participate in the definition of others. Create and enable the Continuous Delivery Pipeline including: Participate in planning, definition, and high-level design of the system solution and explore alternatives. Work with portfolio stakeholders, Solution and Enterprise Architects, to develop, analyze, split, and realize the implementation of enablers. Participate in project planning, system and solution demos, retrospective workshops. Validate technology assumptions and evaluate implementation alternatives. Align development teams to a shared technical direction and partners with those teams in elaborating the Solution and its interfaces. Create and enable the Continuous Delivery Pipeline including Participate in planning, definition, and high-level design of the system solution and explore alternatives. Develop the Architectural Runway in support of new business Features and Capabilities. Understand technical characteristics of and assist with architectural integration of external components, systems, and platforms. Engage in proofs of concept, understanding the business objectives against technologies and practices available in the market. Delivery and maintenance of solutions to integrate hardware/peripheral devices such as Credit/Debit card terminals, scanners, printers, and other retail technology elements into PoS/Service software solutions. Provide support for mobile operating systems such as iOS that advises and collaborates in delivery PoS/services solutions on iPad devices. Coordinate iOS application installers delivery and troubleshooting, MobileIron expertise, peripherals expertise including interfaces and troubleshooting. Utilize Java, Spring and Spring Boot frameworks. Use Cloud environments. Utilize Oracle, PL/SQL, and database design. Use Linux/UNIX. Optimize web and mobile apps for performance and security. Comprehend web fundamentals with a clear understanding of CDNs, network layers, web and application servers. Employ GIT version control, Maven and/or Gradle. Build end to end prototypes and demonstrate the ability to build a design. Operate Agile methodologies and experience in guiding agile teams.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science and 5 Years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or 5 Years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation utilizing Java, Spring and Spring Boot frameworks; using Cloud environments; utilizing Oracle, PL/SQL, and database design; using Linux/UNIX; optimizing web and mobile apps for performance and security; comprehending web fundamentals with a clear understanding of CDNs, network layers, web and application servers; employing GIT version control, Maven and/or Gradle; building end to end prototypes and demonstrating the ability to build a design; and operating Agile methodologies and experience in guiding agile teams.
