JOB TITLE:                      Professional Software Engineer

JOB LOCATION:             3400 W. Plano Parkway, Plano, TX 75075

DUTIES:                           Collaborate to gather and review software requirements and user stories, provide estimates, create software design specifications, and collaborate with engineers and architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions. Execute a specific development methodology through application of various programming languages. Create and execute automated test plans and strategies utilizing business requirements and collaborate with engineers and architects, clients, etc., to validate test environments, test data and test results, design and implement code fixes, validate outcomes against expected results and produce associated reporting. Responsible dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing and user acceptance testing. Support applications and solves configuration and environment issues. Apply advanced knowledge of SDN (Software Defined Networking) and DevOps Engineering. Work with Layer/Layer3 VNFs (Virtual Network Functions) and deployment of infrastructure VNFs into the cloud. Utilize Microsoft Azure, Openstack, Cisco Networking, JIRA, Chef, Linux, Git, Splunk, Docker, Kubernetes, Nagios, Glowroot, Topaz and CICD. Apply advanced knowledge of DevOps engineering, infrastructure, application deployment automation, and delivery management including schedule creation and execution.

REQUIREMENTS:          Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or Computer Engineering and 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience in a related occupation applying advanced knowledge of SDN (Software Defined Networking) and DevOps Engineering; working with Layer/Layer3 VNFs (Virtual Network Functions) and deployment of infrastructure VNFs into the cloud; utilizing Microsoft Azure, Openstack, Cisco Networking, JIRA, Chef, Linux, Git, Splunk, Docker, Kubernetes, Nagios, Glowroot, Topaz and CICD; and applying advanced knowledge of DevOps engineering, infrastructure, application deployment automation, and delivery management including schedule creation and execution.

In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, the employer will accept an additional 2 years of experience in a related occupation applying advanced knowledge of SDN (Software Defined Networking) and DevOps Engineering; working with Layer/Layer3 VNFs (Virtual Network Functions) and deployment of infrastructure VNFs into the cloud; utilizing Microsoft Azure, Openstack, Cisco Networking, JIRA, Chef, Linux, Git, Splunk, Docker, Kubernetes, Nagios, Glowroot, Topaz and CICD; and applying advanced knowledge of DevOps engineering, infrastructure, application deployment automation, and delivery management including schedule creation and execution.
