Full Stack Development Engineer - Intern

Job Overview: 

We are hiring an intern junior engineer of full stack development with a background in cross-platform software engineering and experience with delivering projects. This opportunity will support the transformation of our industry standard order and delivery management systems. You will work on new and existing features, enhancements, and defect resolution on one or more of AT&T’s software systems and platforms. The position requires close collaboration with U.S based Product Management, Business Systems, and Operations teams throughout system development life cycles.  

You will have experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle and are expected to have good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. You will need a good understanding of software methodologies and the ability to balance technical expertise and acumen. Ideally you have experience with ServiceNow solutions or alternatively you have good knowledge of JavaScript and are open-minded and passionate about solving problems.  

Core Responsibilities: 

·         Design, implement, and trouble-shoot scalable and reusable software systems. Actively support configuration management of code and software 

·         Support detailed documentation of systems and features 

·         Actively participate in coding exercises and peer code reviews as part of the development life cycles and change management

·         Actively participate in daily stand-up meetings 

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience. 

·         Hands-on full stack engineering experience. 

·         Hands-on experience in at least some of the following: 

o        Relational or NoSQL databases 

o        Backend languages such as Java, Python or JavaScript (Node.js) 

o        Frontend - HTML, CSS, JavaScript.  

o        Web API experience and architectural styles (e.g., REST).  

o        Test automation development (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, etc.). 

o        Configuration management experience (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins, etc.) 

·         Experience in the following areas would be desirable.  

o        Basic understanding of Containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) 

o        Experiences with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP) 

Education qualifications:  

Studying towards bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or related field of study.

Contract: limited, 3 months

Schedule: full-time, 40 hours/a weel

Salary:

Slovakia - base salary from 1500 EUR/a month gross. The actual salary is based on your skills, experience and knowledge.

Czech Republic - base salary from 33 890 CZK/a month gross. The actual salary is based on your skills, experience and knowledge.

Location: 

This is a hybrid-flex worker position where our preference is for you to be present with your team in the office at least 1-3 times per week.  Travel between our locations in Brno/Bratislava is expected from time-to-time.
