Job Description

We are looking for a multi-disciplined individual responsible for building engineering tools and processes in the area of Computer Aided Design (CAD), Product Data Management (PDM). We are looking for candidates with expertise in electrical CAD (ECAD) to help develop expert knowledge on ECAD tools and their applications. As part of Arista Hardware, you will stay current with industry trends and development in general and ECAD tools in particular to become a subject matter expert to Electrical Engineering (EE) community. You will demonstrate a strong working knowledge of electrical CAD tools and knowledge of how these tools interact with PDM/PLM systems. 

Qualifications

  • Provide hands on support for end users utilizing your strong problem solving skills as well as your tool expertise.
  • Evaluate new features and functions that are made available within existing or potential ECAD tools to judge their potential benefits.
  • Work with ECAD tool vendors to resolve issues with vendor supplied code, and advocate for enhancements and bug fixes.
  • Evangelize and drive adoption of ECAD tools though process development and training
  • Define best practices though documentation and requirements definition for development of ECAD automation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience identifying engineering use-cases, defining requirements for software development
  • CAD Tool expertise such as (Cadence Schematic Capture tools, Cadence Allegro, Cadence Pulse, Cadence ACC, Cadence Skill Programming, Perforce, Egnyte, Agile)
  • Experience with the following technologies would be a plus (Python, Golang, C/C++, TCL, JSON, MySQL, Linux, Windows NT)

Additional Information

The new hire base pay for this role has a salary range of $127,000 to $167,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and US location. The salary range provided reflects the base salary and in addition may also be eligible for discretionary Arista bonuses, commissions, equity, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, well-being, tax savings, and income protection
