Customer Engineer - PDC Leader

This is PDC Team Lead role.

  • We are looking for candidate who has 3 year above hardware experience in PDC related tool: Optics/SEM/Metrology/Inspection

  • Besides engineering role, this role needs to own operation related job scope

- Review engineer daily pass down, follow-up internal escalation & lesson learn sharing

- Co-work with AMAT global support units to resolve issue

- Coordinate daily job assignment & Long-term project follow-up  

- Customer communication: Daily update & weekly report summary

  • English requirement: Be able to communicate in English (No need to be fluent, but need to be able to communicate in English due to global meeting)

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with installing leading-edge customer equipment, performing scheduled preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance, and upgrading equipment

  • Is proficient on primary toolset and demonstrates ability to acquire additional systems and applications. Performs startup activities through Tier II with limited support. Able to complete qualifications with minimal assistance.

  • Completes quality repairs. Actively responds to fab issues by communicating with engineers in other locations and participating in escalation conference calls. May initiate or participate in projects to drive down costs or increase uptime. Ability to carry out action plans and report findings. Verifies operational quality of system equipment.

  • Follow procedures you learn during your training, as well as published task plans, to test equipment and to diagnose and resolve technical problems

  • Complete required job documentation, safety training and procedures for processing parts

  • Professionally represent Applied Materials to the customer, using your “customer first” mindset

  • Satisfy the company’s and customer’s on-site requirements, including safety, environmental and COVID-19 guidelines

  • Train junior engineers on site-related safety, troubleshooting procedures, and developing a customer-first mindset
